Bayonetta Anime, Bloody Fate, Coming this November

Fans of Hideki Kamiya's Bayonetta games are going to get a nice little treat this November with a full length anime-movie titled, "Bayonetta: Bloody Fate". Not much word on what part of the game's storyline this will touch up on, but most bets are that it will be bridging the gap between the first game and the upcoming sequel. Gonzo will be handling the handling the animation which means that we'll get to see some pretty great visuals on this one (the trailer alone gives us a quick look at the art quality). Also, the cast line up promises fans that the movie will not only feature the titular heroine, but also other game favorites such as Luca, Rodin, and Jeanne.

For those wondering, Bayonetta is the spiritual successor of the Devil May Cry series -making it Kamiya's new hack-and-slash-stylistic-combo game ever since he's been hands-off with the original Dante. Most fans of the original DMC series have come to adopt the new heroine, and the series has earned a pretty solid niche fanbase. Case and point, the original Futurepress hardbound strategy guide for the first game is already considered a major collector's item.

The next game in the series is slated for release next year (2014) on the Nintendo Wii U -much to the dismay of the fans who have played the game on Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360. So far, there has been no news about any plans for the sequel to be released on other platforms aside from the Wii U.
