Today we remember the man who gave us The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, Jack Ryan, The Sum of All Fears, Ghost Recon, and other thrilling stories. Tom Clancy passed away on October 2, 2013 at the age of 66, at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. His family has opted to keep the exact nature of his death private.Fans of his books and the movies/games based on his works will still have one last Clancy-made story to enjoy: his last book, Command Authority, will be released on December.
